Yamaha Unveils New EZ-200 Keyboard

Yamaha premieres its EZ-200 keyboard at Winter NAMM 2007. Designed specifically for beginners, this new keyboard offers 61 touch-sensitive, piano-sized keys and special guide lamps that use the Yamaha Education Suite interactive teaching system. In addition, the Yamaha EZ-200 includes 367 General MIDI/XGlite compatible voices, 32-note polyphony and nine reverb settings.

An upgrade to the EZ-150 and EZ-250 keyboards, this new instrument comes with an LCD screen and can be used in conjunction with an optional Survival Kit that contains a power adaptor, two-year extended warranty, headphones, foot switch, DVD with learn-to-play software and discount coupons for accessories and other Yamaha products.

"In the past, players had to choose between important features and price when it came to our lighted keyboard," said Mark Anderson, marketing manager, Portable Keyboards, Yamaha Pro Audio & Combo Division. "Now our new EZ-200 keyboard offers a touch-sensitive option at a reasonable price, which makes choosing this product an easy decision for people who want to learn to play."

The EZ-200 is scheduled to ship in June 2007.
