Korg Offers Users Free Upgrade For Korg Legacy Collection - Digital Edition
Korg is offering a free update of its Legacy Collection — Digital Edition suite of software synthesizer and effects. Version 1.1 expands the M1 software synthesizer to now encompass the entire sound library of Korg’s classic T-series Music Workstations.
The T-series debuted in 1989, further advancing the music workstation concept based on Korg’s “AI” synthesis first offered with the M1. The new M1 software synthesizer version 1.5 delivers all of the T-Series’ PCM data (including the piano PCM from the T1), as well as all the programs and combinations. The contents of the optional TSD-01 through 05 disks are also included, adding more PCM data and programs/combinations using those new samples. In all, a total of over 250 new sounds and samples are provided.

Korg M1
This new update brings together two generations of Korg’s most famous synths, and the added features such as the resonant filter and insert effects open up a new world of sound possibilities that these classic synths never offered. In addition, the new M1 version 1.5 gains the ability to import sound data from the original T-series (via.SYX files).
